Honda Accord Valve Adjustment

This one was a request from a couple of viewers, I like to keep you all happy so here you go. This video is actually taken from a larger video I call "Accord Smackdown", in it I replace the timing belt, radiator, a major service, and some other stuff that I don't remember. I think there will be a couple more videos from this "smackdown" in the future, there is some good stuff in there that I think you will like and possibly learn from. If you have other topics you would like covered don't hesitate to let me know, I'm happy to give you what you want. Post them as text or video responses to this or any of my videos. I'm going to get the part number for the tool I used in the video sometime next week and post it here so keep your socks on and check back sometime next week. How to Adjust The Valves On A Harley-Davidson Evolution Motorcycle Engine

See my bikes at www.hoohoohoblin.com This video shows you how to adjust the valves on a Harley-Davidson Evolution motorcycle engine. The truth is that Harley-Davidson Sportster and Big Twin Engines since the early 1980s have been built with hydraulic lifters in the valve train, which means that you never have to adjust the valves. They stay adjusted automatically. I made this video because I'm sure there are people in the world who just bought their first used Harley-Davidson, and they want to do all of the necessary maintenance but don't know anything about the engine. If you're one of those people, you'll soon appreciate the low-maintenance design of the Harley Davidson motorcycle. No valve adjustments. Belt drive that lasts way longer than a chain. You do have to adjust the primary chain occasionally. You can watch my other videos to see how.

This is a rear driven blown 555ci Dart motor and will be going in my 21' Hallett Vector jet boat. I worked with the crew at Mooneyham Blowers to develop a kit that turns the blower around and allows the blower to drive off the rear of the motor. This eliminates the belt from being in the cockpit of the boat, which adds more safety and more space. Motor was built by Randy Letcher in Lake Havasu City and features a Dart Big M block, 4.25" Callies crank, Eagle rods, JE Pistons, Crower solid roller cam with 4-7 swap, Dart 355 heads, crower valve train, custom rear driven Mooneyham 10-71 blower with competition manifold, Quick Fuel 950 blower carbs, Clay Smith fuel pump, MSD ignition etc.

1966 FORD MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE. #6R08A123450. Red body with a newer white convertible top. Engine is a 289 CI V-8 with performance upgrades. The engine has a Holley 4 barrel carb, Edlebrock intake, mild cam, full roller valve train, Mallory ignition, and Cobra dress up kit. Upper chrome support bar. The transmission is a Borg Warner T-10 4 speed rebuilt with OEM and NOS parts. The rear-end gearing is 3.25:1. Has a red deluxe pony interior. Seat belts front and back. Red convertible boot. Custom console. Rally gauges. Correct '66 style steel wheels and newer tires. This is a real GT and not a fake like 90% are. The underside is very good, I did not find any rust. This mustang has a DSO of Texas and it spent most of it's life there. This is a strong running and great driving Mustang. Has a great body, very solid. The paint is weak. It may look great, but on close inspection you will find it was a very poorly painted. A couple of small rust bubbles right side. I would ask $35000 or more if the paint were sharp. You will like this Mustang, as it has a great look and it's very fun to drive. Old School Garage has gone over the Mustang, serviced and safety checked it, and it's ready for YOU. #3. Cond. In the early 80's this car was made by cutting about 4 feet out of grandma's 4 door chevelle, well how else do you get grandma's 4 door chevelle into Hot Rod Magazine. It made it into Hot Rod Magazine in 1983, in color. It has an 84 inch wheel base, and with 850hp under the hood it should do wheel stands all too well. Lately just about got all of the other bugs worked out so I can start driving it and should be able to take it to some car shows with some friends and have some fun. I also want to take it to the track and see what it will run, I've been told it should run 10.5 or faster, only one way to find out. The engine is a newer Chevrolet truck block from a 91-95 Chevy Silverado SS, as far as internals it has a World Products short block kit PN = WRL-108099, which makes it a 496 CI engine I threw in a different set of pistons which with the Brodix aluminum heads it makes the compression ratio 10.1:1 so it will run on pump gas easily. It has a full roller valve train with a CompCams 4/7 swap firing order for a more even torque curve with less strain on the internals, the lift is .748 intake and the same on the exhaust., Crower H-bar solid roller lifters, thick wall .080 1-pice pushrods with the Crower full roller Magnum rockers (steel not aluminum) to top of the Valvetrain it has Brodix stud girdles on the Brodix PN = BRO-2021038 Aluminum heads that have been port matched to the Edelbrock 2975 intake with a Holley Dominator 1150 gasoline carb. sea lion engine

The Sealion Ref: Sealion The Sealion engine was released in 1959, coinciding with the launch of BMC's Mini and the opening of the UK's first motorway, the M1. The Sealion sports a gear driven overhead cam; an expensive performance feature for 1959; limited to manufacturers such as Jaguar, Aston Martin and Mercedes Benz. Whilst adding to the complexity of the valve train, the Sealion's SOHC arrangement offers more efficient breathing with higher compression ratios. This is a high performance engine and to many it is also Westbury's most refined and ambitious project. The Sealion has a bore x stroke of Ø7/8" x ¾" providing a swept displacement of 29.6cc (1.8 cu.in.). The flat faced cylinder head seats 8 vertical valves, operated by short rockers from an offset, 8-lobe camshaft. The camshaft is supported by 3 bearings within a separately mounted housing, the base of which closes off the water jacket. Westbury calls for a rocker cover formed from 1/16" sheet but many constructors substitute a Perspex/Plexiglas cover. The mechanism is simply too attractive to be hidden away! The Sealion's crankshaft runs in 3 main bearings; 2 outboard ball races and a central spilt-shell leaded bronze bush. Connecting rods are machined from solid Duralumin and it is suggested that the big end cap bolts are security-wired. The Sealion engine includes an oil and water pump; a total of 10 gears make up the drives to the camshaft and auxiliaries! A cast oil trough sits just out of reach of the ...

Due to a sudden, loud valve train noise, I pulled the lifters on my '98 Wide Glide and discovered that two lifters are bad. There should be no discernable play perpendicular to the roller shaft.
