"As an experiment" - I put the digital camera (set to video) on a tripod - in the 'space' behind the two seats. Winds were light and the air was 'smooth'. There were several (Dowling College) Pipers waiting to take-off, so I extended my downwind and slowed the plane up so as to 'make room'.

737-400 testflight with wing stalls before the autoslat systems operates. These flight where performed due to the fact that the wingtip (first LH and then RH) stalled before the autoslat system comes into action. After several flights and adjustments it appeared that the slat auxiliary track detent arms where out of adjustment, causing the wing to stall before the slats move from extend to full extend. The fact that the stall test was performed initially, is because this a/c had undergone a heavy D check, and company policy , together with AMM requirements, requires a testflight after such a large check. The testflights where performed in 2003.

It has been shot at midnight at one of the food stalls (called "Chandan Laxmi Pav Bhaji and Fast Food") at Juhu Chowpatty Beach (the most famous among places selling Pav Bhaji) in Mumbai, India. In order to stall your hoop, hold it level, in place as you move your body. Stalls are all about creating the illusion that your hoop is floating around your body, or in a vertical or horizontal plane. In order to acheive this effect, you will need to master keeping the hoop level throughout your movement. This is best practiced in front of a mirror, or with a friend who can critique your performance. It requires focus and concentration at first, but will soon become second nature. Harv's Air (thanks to Jordan) decided we wanted to show the airflow before, during and after a stall. So Jordan spent $1.29 on yarn and taped the entire wings with 4 rows of 4-5 inch long pieces of yarn. As the airplane approaches the stall you'll see the airflow on the wing. Take note of where the turbulence starts as the wing starts to stall and how the air flow reorganizes as the wing recovers from the stall. While i was waiting for the NS intermodal to move, about 15 people showed up. And one of my friends told me that the Cormans are coming. So we waited and here they came with 2 RJ Cormans, 2 Conrails, and a NS. Making there way up the big grade. The signal was red, they stopped, and couldn't start up again. So they had to back up and try again. What a sight!!
Recorded during early 2009 whilst visiting with a friend rather than with a group. Sandaoling Open Cast Mine was a sight to behold, rather like a model railway on a grand scale spiralling implausibly out of a huge hole in the ground. The system was by then, still 100% steam worked using mainly huge JS type 2-8-2 tender engines. Trains leaving the pit exited in one of two directions with mined coal leaving at the opposite end to that in this video. Spoil trains were heavy in the extreme bearing in mind the gradients and sharp curves. In this slightly edited video we witness a JS propelling it's near 1000 ton load up the incline. Unfortunately for the crew, they've been brought to a halt by the presence of a track gang. Getting going again was never going to be easy, but the train does gain momentum. However, on passing the camera with a steepening of the track and severe curvature the JS begins to loose it's feet. Even superbly skilled enginmanship is insufficient to overcome the odds and the train stalls. After setting back (virtually to the same place as it had originally started from) another more successful attempt is made but even now, the loco has a rough time of it and is down to a slippery crawl as it leaves the rim of the mine. Our grateful thanks must go to the mine's authorities for allowing us unlimited access for a couple of days... wander where you will, and no superfluous safety regalia, a refreshing change from the UK where you wouldn't have been allowed <b>...</b>

I discuss why horses act this way and get more aggressive in stalls since they don't get corrected or discipline in their stall. When a horse gets to be king in his stall then his stall becomes his castle and he not want to leave the security of that. This is a very sad and troubled horses that is just another victim of an owner who lacks the knowledge and understanding of horses. It is always easier to make excuses so you don't have to learn or try or do what is better for the horse. Very sad to see this and I see all too often.

Some more practice. Stalls have become one of my favorite things to do. And hooping with a skirt on just looks so pretty! a lot of people have asked about this skirt - I bought it like 3 yrs ago at a store called Mandee (they only exist in the NJ/NY/PA tri state area) I haven't seen them since, but you can purchase bellydance circle skirts off ebay for a reasonable price. Those skirts will give you the same flowy effect. Good luck! EDIT: Mandee Store contact me here on youtube and they are looking into getting these skirts back in their store. CN had some trouble today in Joliet. EJ&E 663 and EJ&E 657 brought an eastbound loaded taconite train into Joliet Yard. The big challenge was climbing the hill out of Joliet. According to radio chatter, the train was making 3 MPH at one time during the climb and the crew was reporting that it was going to be close whether they made it or not. Eventually, the train ended up stalling at MP 3, just short of South Rowell Avenue. Two SW1200's were sent to the rescue and they gave the train a push up the hill.
CSX 419 & 411 with loaded coal train V605 had stall coming off the Salsbury Branch just outside Meyersdale, PA. The engineer informed the dispatcher that they had no sand. The V605 finally makes it on the mainline and has to go west before it can make its trip east to Cumberland. So V605 continues another 5 miles or so west on track #2 to Garrett, PA crossovers. We watch the train run beside the river, and the two helper units pass the V605 on track #1. At Garrett, the 419 & 411 come off and head to the other end of the train. The helpers wait, and then tie on to the rear. The helpers are needed for the ruffly 10 mile trip up grade to SandPatch, where they will come off, and the V605 with the 411 leading will continue down the other side of the mountain to Cumberland, MD. I'm testing the landing and glide characteristics of the plane in this video. I also ran it through a series of stalls and spins. This plane is surprisingly stable in the air at every speed. I built this from 1/2" foam insulation. The leading and trailing edges of all flying surfaces are shaped to assist with lift. The take-off weight is 17-18oz, depending on which 3s lipo I grab. Control is accomplished with 3 servos and a basic 4 channel radio Next up, I'll have some videos of the plane maneuvering.
