OVERALL, Fabulous Felines has a lot of tones and shades perfect for autumn and certainly a plethora of products to choose from. Despite some of the darker and deeper tones, the collection feels rather sheer, muted, and tame. It doesn't feel like a bold, rich mix of colors once you actually start to swatch through some of the products. Burmese Beauty is a set of products that easily work for both cooler and warmer skin tones, while Palace Pedigreed complements cooler skin tones best and Leopard Luxe for warmer skin tones. Keep in mind that this doesn't mean you can't wear cooler-toned products on your warmer skin! Ivan moved from Santiago, Chile to New York in 1997 because he was interested in the New Yorker art scene. It took him at least 7 years to start working as an artist. His start in New York was very hard and complicated because he didnt have a visa at that time. Little by little he started making some money by showing some of his work. Fashion Flower feels like a nice-sized collection--enough to mix and match, but it's not so large that it's overwhelming. MAC's matte eyeshadows can be great, but they have a few duds in the mix and some that just work infinitely better when applied to the eye with a brush than in a mere arm swatch--and this is true with the mattes in this launch. I did feel that Aqua and Free to Be seemed stiffer here than the pans I have (as both are permanent), so you might consider getting the non-imprinted ones if that's the case. Lucky Green is also permanent, but it's definitely the standout shade--luxuriously smooth and richly pigmented; it represents when MAC really nails an eyeshadow. Here's a review of the limited edition Dazzle Finish Lipsticks that were launched with MAC's Digi-Dazzle collection in August 2010. My personal favorites from the collection were: Hellraiser, Liquid Lurex, Hot Sass and Troublemaker. About half of these lipsticks impart more glitter than anything else. Take note that Glaringly Hip, Hellraiser, Liquid Lurex, Smash Hit, Sweet Bits and Win-Win all offer little in the way of pigmentation (they are different hues, but similar finishes). These colors make gorgeous highlighters though, and look very pretty when used as an "eyeshadow." In this video I start with nudes, then go on to browns, coral, light pinks, pinks, and light purple. I used a Canon 50D with a 16-35mm L lens to take the swatch pictures. All of the swatch photos were taken after sunset, so the lighting and flash did make the swatches look a bit more glossy and shiny than in real life. When he is not freeriding, this all-rounder shows off his artistic talents: He has started up his own hat company, Kask, and designs hats himself. Through his numerous films, produced by his own production company Swedish Posse, Kaj also puts his efforts into sharing his undiminished passion for skiing! Sverre began alpine skiing when he was on vacation with his parents at the age of 8. He com-peted in alpine ski races until 1998, when he became interested in free riding after watching the Scandinavian Extreme in Riksgränsen. He had instant success, quickly becoming the Scandina-vian champion, and later went on to be crowned world champion. Whilst travelling the Rockies, Sverre found he had time to kill and soon realized he had a talent for crocheting. Not long after, KASK was born a company set up by himself and a friend, Kaj Zack-risson, where the two of them produce beanies worn by skiers throughout the world. Besides skiing, Sverre spends a lot of time working with photographers, which gains him expo-sure in international ski magazines. He is also the creator and a participating athlete in the Swed-ish Posse Ski movie productions. After his skiing career, he hopes to expand and be more involved with his business Kask. "Style in Snowboarding" is the first video segment from a collection cut out of the 2009/2010 Swatch TTR TV Show series. They will be released during November and December 2010. Style is an integral, yet intangible, element of snowboarding. Simply put, style makes snowboarding what it is. It differentiates it from other sports, such as team sports, where style is not an often spoken word. It is the expression of ones individuality based on how you hold your grab, control your body and so on. The words of Jason Horton seem to fit perfectly: "Style is the art of making something that's difficult and unnatural look easy." It is an endlessly debated topic and it is also a vital part of the judging criterion on all of the Swatch TTR Tour events. These are really soft mattes; they have a really buttery feel to them, where you can feel the powder loosening as you swatch. They aren't particularly powdery, though they'll kick up a little dust if you are heavy handed with your brush. A little product goes a long way, so there's no reason to jab at the eyeshadow with a brush (something you might have done with past matte eyeshadows). The softness and give allow these to apply smoothly and evenly; there is no patchiness or drag with these. The only downside to these is if you really pack on the color, you might find that it fades (ever-so-marginally) after eight hours; it's a very minimal drawback, resulting in 0.5 point reduction in longevity. Overall, these five shades had excellent color payoff and lovely textures. Even the lightest, #356, applied smoothly and never looked chalky. Shipping for me was $4.71 NOTE: If you look at the pic of this palette on the website, the top row of the 6 "highlighter" colors are different than this palette. The palette they ship to you has better colors in this row. (They now updated the pic on the website!) UPDATE: There are 4 colors that are actually matte, but I said they were shimmers. They had a slight shimmer to it by looking at it but they are matte. They're the 3rd, 4th, & 5th gray color in the 2nd row of the "highlighter" colors. And the last wine-brown color in the top row of the "highlighters". So it's 35 mattes to 43 shimmers. (45%/55%) Bases used in the video: ~Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows in Moonlit Jewels (Nude, Green & Blue ones) ~A Physician's Formula Color Eyes Eyeshadow Stick in Lilac (got it at the Dollar Tree the other day!) Inglot's Pearl Eyeshadows have a very fine shimmer with a brighter, pearly sheen. Born a nature child, Terje learned all the fun of sports fast: soccer, ski jumping, athletics and al-pine skiing. He won them all. He was on the regional team in both soccer and alpine skiing. He discovered the snowboard upon turning 14. He won his first competition only two months after getting his first board. Terje made his way onto Burtons global team at age 15, whilst still striving in 9th grade at Vinje Ungdomsskole (school). He made his debut at the World Cup in St Moritz, and to everybodys surprise he captured 5th place in the half-pipe! The champ came into his own in 1991 with his first European Championship in the half-pipe. He has earned a total of 3 US Open victories, 5 European Championships and 3 World Champion-ships. He has garnered many top rankings in World Cups and invitational events. He quit counting World Cup points after the 1994 season. In the winter of 2002, the ISF went bankrupt after fighting the FIS for six years. Several players from the snowboard scene approached Terje to join new forces. Terje was reluctant, because he knew the value of the total independence of the Arctic Challenge. But the coalition of TTR touched him with a solid philosophy: rider-driven, genuine snowboard values and focus on progression. Terje and TAC are placed on centre stage by TTR: nine great snowboard events around the world earn qualification spots at TAC. Terje and other top riders now have a powerful say in the philosophy and progression of the sport.

Profile: Xavier De Le Rue: the double double world champion (Snowboard Freeride and Snowboard Boardercross) The sympathetic French snowboarder Xavier De Le Rue is not only double world champion and triple overall world cup winner in Boardercross but also one of the key figures of the freeride scene: In 2008 and in 2009, he won the world championship of the Freeride World Tour. In 2008, the 30-year-old snowboard star was buried by a huge avalanche only surviving thanks to an avalanche airbag. Our profile shows De Le Rue also pursuing his hobbies climbing and ice climbing and includes interviews with other well-known freeriders like big mountain legend Jeremy Jones (USA).
