Supermarket Sweep
My appearance on the game show. Run, lardass, run! Not to spoil the "secrets" of the sweep, but just some behind-the-scenes stuff for those that are interested: As contestants, prior to the taping of your episode, they let you walk through the supermarket for 10 minutes, so you can get an idea of what things cost. That's one of the reasons you never saw people really looking closely at the prices of things while they were shopping. You had to have a game plan (and I did!) The studio audience isn't nearly as big as they want you to believe. There are mirrors on both sides of the stage. With the exception of the contestants, the audience that is there are paid extras, which is why most of them are only slightly enthusiastic. They tape the inros of several episodes at once, so that once the game play begins, there is no audience. The rest of the game is done in an otherwise silent studio! So all of that extra clapping is added later. The store really was as big as a real grocery store (so to see it put together on a soundstage was pretty amazing). The food was expired, though. And some of them (like the meat) were, as you would expect, props. The winners go home with a check in the amount of their sweep, but the 2nd and 3rd place contestants only got a sweatshirt! So it really was all or nothing, in terms of winning. As for my own performance, as you could tell, at 200 pounds, I did not have the best cardio endurance of my life. Well I finally made it to 100 subscribers. Thanks, I love you all. To show my appreciation, here's a battle featuring a Magikarp. Enjoy. For some of the people who don't know enough about Pokemon to realize how this was done: 1) Smeargle's Baton Pass attack switchs Pokemon while keeping the stat changes. For instance, any attack or speed raises Smeargle got Magikarp now inherited. 2) In the beginning, I let him hit me so that my Focus Sash could kick in, leaving me at 1 HP. Flail is an attack that does more damage depending on the HP of the attacker. When Magikarp has 1 HP, Flail has a base power of 200, almost as much as Explosion! 3) Belly Drum quadruples the attack of a Pokemon at the cost of half your life. Combined with Substitute, Smeargle is left with 25% of his life and therefore activiates his Salac Berry, which provides a 50% boost to speed. 4) When Smeargle Baton Passes into Magikarp, all of his stat changes are inherited by Magikarp. That brings our friend Magikarp to 388 speed and 520 attack! If that were not enough, Magikarp's ability, Swift Swim, makes his speed double in the rain to an even better 777! 5) The end result is an incredibly fast and strong Pokemon who can spam attacks nearly as powerful as Explosion against my opponent. Hence, the Magikarp sweep. Plus, there is nothing more embarrassing to losing to the long-time considered weakest Pokemon in the game, right? How to Create Sweep/Drama Build-ups in Traktor TUTORIAL
This video will show you how to create a dynamic sweep build-up in Traktor using the built in effects. This technique can be used with any midi controller. The sweep build up is a great mixing tool to have with any controller it will help create build ups and drama when mixing out of a song and dropping in the beat of a new song. Check out the video. I made this over 2 years ago and supposedly it has helped a lot of people learn how to sweep. (but i doubt it) i had been playing almost 3 years at the time so my technique is actually pretty bad, now that i've improved a bit. this vid has some good starting stuff for learning the technique, even if it is really basic and dumb altogether. (my video) oh, and btw. just because you do a sweep doesn't mean you played a lick. licks need to sound good, and you have to make something melodic to sound good, just doing random sweeps means you are retarded and have no sense of melody. (like me in my video) so yeah, always try to make musical phrases that you could even hum to when you write solos or anything. otherwise you are just dumbing down the music community and making it harder for me to wade through the terrible, terrible majority of music out there to get to the good stuff. thanks.

♠ Wicked Level 1 Aron Sweep ♠ - Pokemon Black & White Wifi Battle #14
Once I had a battle and everything went according to plan. FEAR Aron sweep done by the book just in 7 turns. My opponent had a good standard team and I noticed that Infernape could be the possible lead. Knowing that I chose Tyranitar(Lead GuiTar, get it?) as my own lead to set up the Sandstorm and also to use it as a bait. Lead Apes usually carry Focus sash so was hoping I could force my opponent to use Close Combat straight away. Otherwise I could OHKO the Ape with the help from Sandstorm. Most people also get tempted about early 6-5 "advantage" and so 4x Super effective STAB CC easily knocked out my TTar on the first turn giving me a free switch into Aron. On the second turn my opponent sets up Stealth Rock but it's already too late. Aron's natural "Focus sash" , Sturdy ability remains intact and so the fun begins. In Generation 5 Sturdy shields the pokemon from every _single_ hit that would KO it at full health, kinda like a Focus sash. But since Sturdy is an ability, it can be used infinite times as long as the pokemon remains at full health. What makes Level 1 Aron so special is that it has also access to Endeavor(Egg move) and immunity Sandstorm, thanks to it's typing. Above all when you give Aron the item Shell bell, this harmless little pokemon turns into your worst nightmare. It becomes the FEAR. Shell bell restores 1/8 of the damage dealt as HP. Meaning whenever level 1 Aron uses Endeavor on a level 100 non ghost pokemon and brings it down to match it's own <b>...</b>
