SWEETS recorded on the Los Angeles Soultown label. The vinyl release is dated around 1966/67. The singers are possibly linked with the same girl group that recorded for the Valiant label in 1965...a trio that included Felice Taylor and her sisters Norma and Darlene. The Soultown label was run by aspiring LA. producer and impresario Bobby Sanders, influenced by Berry Gordy's success with Motown. The Sweets flip, 'Satisfy Me Baby', was a popular uptempo dancer on the Northern soul scene in the mid 1970's. Consequently it gained a reissued pressing on a simpler designed label. Other artists who have recorded on the same label include; Tempos, Delicates, Little Helen, Ray Agee, Travis McKinley, McKinley Twins and New Young Hearts. Also, actor Burt Ward --'Robin' in the 60's Batman series. Bobby Sanders also recorded 'The Way I Feel' on the Pick-A-Hit (100) record label.

Soak 1 cup of lima beans in cold water overnight (for about 10-12 hours). 2. Pop the beans out of the skins with your fingers. 3. Lower the heat and simmer for about 35-50 minutes until the beans are very soft and spongy. 5. Mash the beans with a wooden spoon until they have the consistency and look of mashed potatoes. *tip: If you need to make a large quantity, using a food processor will be faster 6. Add ½ cup sugar, ¼ ts salt, and 1 ts vanilla extract and keep stirring for about 1 -2 minutes with a wooden spoon. The filling should get stickier. Keep stirring so the filling doesn't burn or stick to the bottom of the pot. 7. Turn the heat off and cool down. Make dough: 1.
