On their way delivering the Deer Sword, Lien's four henchmen lose the sword to Hsiao Kung-tse who claims that he is sent by Hsiao Shi-yi Lang. But Hsiao Kung-tse is lying -- it is actually to his father he then hands over the Deer Sword. Meanwhile Lien Cheng-pi and his friends are so shocked and enraged to hear that the Deer Sword is in Hsiao Shi-yi Lang's possession that Lien changes his mind about escorting his wife Shen Pi-chien (Ching Li) on her way back to visit his in-laws. He decides that he would stay behind to keep guard instead while Shen accompanied by a few servants would go on her own. On the way Shen almost falls into the hands of Hsiao Kung-tse and her cousin who has been in secret league with Hsiao Kung-tse. Hsiao Shi-yi Lang comes to her rescue just in time. A fight ensues in which Shen's cousin is killed and Shen is also injured. Hsiao Shi-yi Lang takes Shen home and let her stay till she recovers. Jason, furious at being kept out of the loop on the clan's treasures, now wants that sword. Ku Feng's son, played by Derek Yee, gets into the act and at about the one-hour mark goes off for some needed training in order to take on Jason. Rurouni Kenshin - Season 1 (Tokyo Story Arc), Episode #3 - "Swordsman of Sorrow: The Man Who Slays His Past" This is the moment I fell in love with the character of Kenshin Himura. At this point, the magnitude of the impact Kenshin's actions had during the Revolution were still unknown. Yamagata Aritomo, now one of the highly ranked Meiji goverment officials, has sought Kenshin in order to convince him of his needed presence within the new goverment and era that Kenshin helped to usher in during his time fighting as "Battosai" the Man-slayer. Kenshin has decided that "manslaughter" is not something that should be rewarded. Instead, he decides that he can best suit this new era by protecting his friends and anybody else that needs help using his reverse-blade sword. This scene also reveals Kenshin's refusal to kill. My very favorite part of this exchange is Kenshin's ability to convey how power corrupts, as the police swordsmen have shown through their actions. Kenshin decides that he can best help the new government by being WITH the people and affecting their lives one at a time. His integrity, compassion and his unrelenting determination for protecting the weak and those that have no say in the new government are perfectly captured in this scene and, well, this is the moment I believe Kenshin begins to create a new "legend". A rustle of silk, a flash of steel, and a swordswoman flutters out of the sky and alights on a tree limb that bends gracefully. This is the image most people associate with wu xia (literally, chivalrous hero) films. Wu xia novels have been popular in China and Hong Kong for centuries and Hong Kong has been putting them on the big screen practically since film was invented. Although wu xia encompasses all martial arts movies, it's come to stand for the flying swordsman (and woman) movies that the Western world fell in love with in Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. With the invaluable support of the Hong Kong Economic Trade Office New York, this year's festival is screening a fistful of masterpieces of wu xia, both new and old, to pay tribute not only to this genre, but to our Star Asia Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Tsui Hark, who has done more than anyone else to bring wu xia into the 21st century. Before Tsui Hark, the world of wu xia was a regimented hierarchy, sealed off from the outside, subject to its own code of honor. If your father is killed, in turn you must kill his killer. Return of the One-Armed Swordsman aka King of One Armed Swordsmen
Watch 100s of Kung Fu Movies at: kungfuflicks.in Sword fights come at you every five minutes or so, resulting in some amazingly bloody action. I had no idea that any kung fu film from the 60s was so bloody. This effect is remarkably enhanced by the use of palm squibs to send bloody flying and the heroes all white outfits. Another exciting aspect of the film (which would later become a Wang Yu staple) is the use of unorthodox weapons by the heavies. With eight super villains there is a lot of room for some creativity and Cheh and co. don't fail. My personal favorite is the sinister female demon that pulls any numbers of knives from under her flowing robe.

One-Armed Swordsman
One-Armed Swordsman is a 1967 Hong Kong wuxia film produced by the Shaw Brothers Studio. Directed by Chang Cheh, it was the first of the new style of wuxia films emphasizing male anti-heroes, violent swordplay and heavy bloodletting. It was the first Hong Kong film to make HK$1 million at the local box office, propelling its star Jimmy Wang to super stardom. (SUBSCRIBE)

He is caught and taken to an underwater stronghold. Its Chief, Mu Yung Hu-fang (Cheng Ke-wei), has ambitious plans to control the martial world, and wants Tu's help to get possession of the Tangs' Arsenal Manual from the wealthy collector Pai Yu-liu. She uses the notorious robber Hung Mei's name in a threat to abduct Pai's daughter Pai Ping. Pai is obliged to seek the help of his close friend Shen Sheng-yi (Ti Lung). Tu has meanwhile had his appearance altered by plastic surgery, and lures Pai into a meeting with Mu Yung for a supposed antique deal. While Pai and Shen are with Mu Yung, Pai Ping is kidnapped. But the victim turns out to be Shen's girlfriend Su Yen-fei (Ching Li), whom he has used to bait the trap for Mu Yung. Su has been able to leave enough clues to ensure her rescue, but is again abducted when Shen's men are ambushed as they approach Pai's home. Shen offers the Tangs' Manual in exchange for the hostage. Mu Yung manages to seize it without handing over the captive, but on returning to the underwater hideout she finds the Manual shredded and their captive worthless. But Su has again been able to leave clues, and Shen and his men find their way to her in time to save her life and to eliminate <b>...</b>

Magic Knight Rayearth - Ferio, the Handsome, Mysterious Swordsman
While travelling to Eterna Lake, the Knights run into Ferio, a handsome swordsman. He offers to be their guide. They decline his offer, but he continues to follow them. They eventually agree to hire him on, and discover Ferio is also on a quest to save Princess Emeraude. He assists them in slaying several monsters and departs after leading them to safety.

The New One-Armed Swordsman, also known as Triple Irons, is a 1971 Hong Kong wuxia film directed by Chang Cheh and produced by the Shaw Brothers Studio, starring David Chiang. Chiang replaced Jimmy Wang, the star of the two preceding films in the series, The One-Armed Swordsman and Return of the One-Armed Swordsman.
