The Armed Forces Salute was performed on January 17, 2009 at the Amarillo Globe News Theatre by the All-Region (1) Symphonic Band, under the direction of Mr. Barry Hurt. And yes, I am a member of the 2009 All-Region (1) Symphonic Band (TC Baritone/Euphonium). However we are not an actual Symphonic Band - the 'Symphonic' is used in lieu of the word 'Honors'...and I don't know why.
