In Syria, the President's accepted his cabinet's resignation. The move comes amid weeks of violent crackdowns on demonstrations calling for liberty reforms, and despite a massive pro-President rally Tuesday. A new government is expected to be in place on Wednesday, as well as the lifting of a controversial state of emergency that's been in effect for more than 50 years. There's been 11 days of fighting in the country - with more than 150 people killed. While the President blames foreign sources, locals claim government troops are behind the lethal violence. Syria's situation is raising fears that another foreign intervention could be possible. RT correspondent Natalia Novikova is in the capital Damascus. Odyssey Dawn 2.0? 'Syria intervention possible'

Tens of thousands are gathered in the capital in a show of support for President Bashar Assad. His 11-year rule has been challenged by demonstrations demanding long-awaited reforms. The government has promised greater freedoms, including the lifting of a controversial emergency law used to detain dissidents without trial. More than 150 people have been killed in 11 days of fighting. The government blames foreign sources, locals claim government troops are responsible. The situation in Syria has raised fears another foreign intervention could be possible.
