Getting hold of a new 360 with the Nidec fans is an almost impossible task as you cannot tell whats in the box until you have purchased it. Therefore I bought a set of the 'prized' Nidec fans from eBay and installed them without damaging my warrenty sticker or case. It now runs alot quieter at the dashboard. I know the real noise maker is the DVD drive as it spins at x12 speed. However with the next Live update shortly upon us, we will have the abilty of running our games directly from the HDD which will result in an almost silent 360.
