Just received my gear, 100w solar panel (£174 (ebay) heres there website, www.photonicuniverse.com 20A Charge controller (£20-ebay), 110ah battery (£75), led strip lights for garden and under cabinet lights (ebay), all major parts wired in 10mm twin and earth cable I had knocking around with reducer crimps to fit into the controller, garden lighting wired in 2.5mm cable (in the shed), adaptable boxes (weatherproof boxes) on all external walls outside of the shed. The system will comfortable run the garden lights (decking spots, 5m LED strip for end garden wall), Kitchen under cabinate lights all LED lighting. The 500w Grid tie inverter is only used when we use high power appliances such as the tumble dryer and washer to off set some of the power needed to run them. I plan on updating the system in the near future to another 100w panel and another 110ah battery, maybe a pure sine wave inverter. I am planning on using 25mm tails for the battery linkage (as I have some knocking around), I also plan on installing a couple of fans and a 12v extractor fan in the shed. Will be updating shortly. Sorry about the garden we are currently cleaning it up before summer. update... I was thinking about powering the under cabinet kitchen led strip but I would require 12V breakers etc in the house and they are expensive/specialist equipment and would require a electrical test (been in the house) and it could invalidate your insurance if something goes wrong.
