Kiefer Sutherland's new project : a webseries of 10 episodes. Available on the Internet in March. Created by and starring Kiefer Sutherland, The Confession is a story of unique redemption and an exploration of good and evil featuring a hit man (Kiefer Sutherland), and a priest (John Hurt). The story begins on Christmas Eve, when the hit-man enters a church to confess his sins to the priest. Through a series of gripping flashbacks, the Confessor's journey is revealed -- laying out what has brought him to this moment and leading the audience to the dramatic ending where the man's chances at ultimate redemption hang in the balance. While at first the Confessor seems to be an evil, cold-blooded killing machine and the Priest the ultimate arbiter of good, as the series develops it becomes clear that both characters are much more complicated than either could have suspected.

On the Confessions Tour, Isaac was opened by the man who lent his name to the song, singing the Im nin'alu intro and playing the shofar, a kind of horn. On the main stage a female dancer dressed in burka dances inside a cage. Madonna appears at the end of the catwalk, and sings and dances her way to the main stage. As Isaac sings his part, Madonna kneels down (to the joy of the fans close to the catwalk). She then approaches the cage and frees Sofia from the burka, who then runs happily onto the catwalk, free as the bird on the screen. Four male dancers join Madonna for a final group choreography.
Madonna opened the last segment of the Confessions Tour with mixing The Trammps' 'Disco Inferno' with her own Music, turning it into the hedonistic Music Inferno. After a montage of old videos and an intro with rollerskating dancers, Madonna appears on stage in a classy white suit, channeling the legendary Tony Manero character, played by John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. She dances her way to the end of the catwalk and does the famous disco guns choreography while the rollerskaters do amazing tricks. A vocoder plays the chorus of Where's The Party and the whole audience gets boogie'ing to the infectious beat. Definitely a highlight of the show for many fans!

Madonna always knows how to build up tension and anticipation as her show starts. The Confessions Tour started off with a haunting bassline. With an Equestrian theme for the first part of the show, the large screens show running horses (taken from the Steven Klein video) and the sound of the gallopping shakes the whole room. Madonna's face appears on the screens, quoting the intro of Future Lovers, while a giant disco ball is lowered from the ceiling. Before an amazed crowd, the ball opens and Madonna appears from inside. She's dressed in Gaultier riding gear, inspired by Romy Schneider's character in Ludwig, and has her dancers/horses gallopping beside her. She cracks her whip on them and even rides Jason, who prances up to the crowd. Madonna also pays tribute to Donna Summer's 'I Feel Love' (which conveniently shares the same bassline ;-) intertwining the verses seamlessly with those of Future Lovers.
What better way to end the Confessions Tour than with the smash #1 hit of the past year. Madonna had announced this tour saying "I want people to feel like they're inside a disco ball". That's exactly how the crowd feels when the giant disco ball starts turning, shining its lights on the whole venue. Stuart gives them a big teaser, by mixing Hung Up with Lucky Star. Madonna sings the Hung Up chorus, but then disappears from the stage. Tension is build up with a long powerful instrumental intro, still a bit intertwined with Lucky Star. Then Madonna and her dancers appear on a rack in the back (as in the EMA performance). Madonna wears a sexy leotard, a purple jacket and sun glasses. The dancers give their all in a stream of choreographies, before they and Madonna get physical during the breakdown . Slowly they all crawl onto the catwalk. Madonna walks towards the end where she 'rides' a big boombox. At the climax, golden balloons fall from the ceiling, causing a fight among fans to get hold of them. But soon Madonna re-unites them with a big singalong contest. Everybody goes mad on the line "Time goes by... so slowly!" as Madge urges to sing louder. All the dancers, also including Donna and Niki, and even Isaac return to the stage for a grand finale with disco roll. A big bang calls the end of the performance and of the tour. As the ticking of the clock slows down, Madonna - as usual - has the last word: "I'm tired of waiting on you..."

Up Close and Personal with a Killer When I was finally admitted into the bowels of Trenton State Prison in New Jersey's capital to interview multiple murderer Richard Kuklinski, aka “the Iceman,” it wasn't at all what I had expected. My assumption was that it would be like the movies. We'd be separated by a shatter-proof glass barrier. We'd communicate through telephone handsets. There would be guards all around watching our every move. But I couldn't have been more wrong. Clarice Starling had more protection when she visited Dr. Hannibal “the Cannibal” Lector in The Silence of the Lambs. At least she had bars. And frankly, as a killer, Lector was downright crude compared to the stealth and skullduggery of the Iceman. Lector liked to bite; Kuklinski preferred a cyanide solution administered from a nasal spray bottle. A surprise spritz to the face usually produced a shocked inhalation from the victim, who as a result would die in under a minute. And unless the body was found right away and a savvy medical examiner knew what to look for, the poison would go undetected because cyanide naturally dissipates in the body after two hours. But cyanide was only one of the things I was thinking about on the morning of January 16, 1992, when I arrived for my date with the Iceman.

"Ladies & Gentlemen, thank you for coming to our little show! The night is young and the show has just begun!" That was usually the intro Madonna gave for the Confessions Tour performance of Jump, which features special parkour dancers (and Cloud) running and jumping on and off runways and rails on the catwalk. Madonna, on the other hand just walks around the stage singing the song while the screens show tall buidings, used for parkour. At the end of the performance, Madonna does a roll on one of the rails then goes offstage while the talented dancers give their all during an extended ending.

She urges all the fans to jump all through the song and we gladly obliged. The 6 male dancers, dressed in black & white, get to the end of the catwalk, giving away a great synchronious choreography. One of the dancing highlights!

After dying at the end of her fantastic Live To Tell performance on the Confessions Tour, Madonna is resurrected on the tones of Forbidden Love. As she dances on and around the cross, two male dancers perform a beautiful hand choreography and hug each other before disappearing from the stage. On the European tour (which coincided with the Lebanese-Israeli war) the dancers have the symbols of the Star of David and the crescent moon painted on their body. So whether forbidden love is talking about love between two males or between different cultures or religions, is up to the interpretation of the viewer. On the screen all these symbols that divide us are smashed and ultimately there's the embryo, the symbol of life and love. Madonna joins the two dancers and they do the hand choreography together. At the end, Madonna picks up her crown of thorns and disappears.

Almost two decades later, Lucky Star was performed live again, on the Confessions Tour. After the exhausting La Isla Bonita, Madonna crashes down on stage, but backup singers Nicki & Donna bring her back on her feet, covering her with a magical cape, which reads "Dancing Queen" on the back (another Abba reference, while the rest of her outfit is a combination of Agnetha's & Frida's from their late 70s tour). As Madonna opens the cape, the inside shows twinkling disco balls (lucky stars?). Madonna performs a great version of Lucky Star, sung over the instrumental of Hung Up, together with Donna and Nicki (the only time the backup singers get their part in the spotlight). At the end of the song, Madonna asks the audience if they want more and sings the chorus of Hung Up, then goes offstage for her final costume change, building up the anticipation for the encore.
