Already the hardest part of the storm is over land (SE Georgia).. Also, be alert in the midwest still.... Oklahoma has damaging winds and hail.... heading in the general direction of Arkansas, Southern Missouri, and even western Tennessee/Kentucky. Wisconsin to the north... as well as north Michigan... hail and damaging winds are detected... be alert this may extend throughout the rest of the day.

Use the links here to monitor severe weather: sincedutch.wordpress.com The very large low pressure system off the coast of the pacific northwest has pushed a line of storms across the NW .. now reaching the north midwest.. and upper NW. Also, Texas has formed a small counter-clockwise rotating storm (mini low pressure system) .. which is heading ESE towards Houston. In the Midwest.. Nebraska, Iowa, and North Kansas -- we see another developing line of weaker storms.. which may break out as the day goes on ... into hail and damaging winds. Up north.. Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Dakota, and Montana... strong cell thunderstorms are in the direct area -- and will continue throughout the day, into tomorrow. Be aware in the midwest over the next 2 days for the possibility of severe weather -- as the storm up north draws in moisture from the south... for SURE the next system off the west coast.. currently forming into its own two smaller lows coming ashore now over OR, WA.. South USA -- just offshore of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida --- hail detected. Finally, tropical storm 'Bud' .. has formed off the west coast of central america... has projected paths to bring it up over central Mexico --- towards the general vicinity of southwest Texas. Be aware this may come to the NE over mexico into the Gulf or TX.. there is also the possibility it may die out over Mexico... lets hope this is the case. video from 5/21/2012 showing the forming of the yet unnamed at the ...

Flash floods triggered by a tropical storm in the southern Philippines have killed more than 430 people and left many more missing, officials say. Many of the victims were asleep when it struck Mindanao island, hitting the cities of Iligan and Cagayan de Oro. Tens of thousands of people have fled to higher ground, the authorities say. Benito Ramos, head of the national disaster rescue agency, said reports were still coming in and the casualty figures could rise. Mr Ramos said the floodwaters had risen alarmingly fast overnight as people slept. "Massive flooding had been reported over the region, especially in Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro City," he said Rivers burst their banks after 25mm of rain fell in 24 hours. The Philippine National Red Cross Secretary General Gwen Pang said at least 430 people had been killed. She said 215 people had been killed in Cagayan de Oro and 144 in Iligan. Large areas were left without power and some domestic flights were cancelled as winds of up to 90 km/h (55mph) swept across the island. A landslide killed at least five people in the east of the island, the national disaster agency said. A military spokesman, Colonel Leopoldo Galon, said an entire army division - some 10000 soldiers - was involved in the rescue efforts around Cagayan de Oro. Forecasters said the eye of ...

Off the coast of North Carolina / South Carolina (at the border region).. heading West by Southwest --- a "low pressure system" has formed --- moving against the prevailing winds ... heading towards the coast of Georgia , South Carolina (possibly as far south as Florida)... if it fully forms into a tropical low ... and IF it makes landfall... expect flooding rains, and damaging winds at least along the coast when the storms arrive. There is the possibility the storm COULD pull back to the east northeast out to sea.. however at this point, it appears to be picking up steam heading to the WSW like a hurricane or tropical low pressure system would do. Currently, just strong cells associated with this storm, however its starting to "look" suspect --- almost looking to the naked eye as a tropical low thats forming. Tropical Storm Lee floods the Susquehanna River, which surged to a record crest of 42.66 feet in Wilkes-Barre and caused major flooding all over Northeast and Central Pennsylvania. Hundreds of thousands were evacuated. Thousands lost their homes. Millions of dollars of damage. These pictures are not mine, they were found on Facebook and have been put together to remember the tragic days of 9/7/11 - 9/10/11. My heart goes out to the people of Pennsylvaina, especially the Wilkes-Barre area. A place I called home for 14 years. In the coming days much help will be needed to ease the pain of the victims. Tornado that passed by my place near downtown Dallas on 9-8-10. My first one to catch on video! **Thanks for all your views and comments. To answer a few of the questions: Video was shot at 6:15 PM It was an EF-2 with 115 MPH winds. It touched down three times, causing the most damage at Mockingbird and Industrial Blvd. It was one of six tornadoes that touched down in and around the DFW Metroplex that day. The larger building in the background (located around the 3 minute mark) is UT Southwestern Medical Center at Inwood and Harry Hines Blvd.**

On July 23rd, 2010 Tropical Storm Bonnie became the second named, and second landfalling, storm of the 2010 Atlantic hurricane season. Between July 20th and 21st an area of disturbed weather associated with a tropical wave, interacting with a large upper-level low, moved west-northwest over the northeastern Caribbean and southeast Bahamas producing very heavy rainfall and extensive flooding over Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. On July 22nd, the strong shear, that had been preventing development, relaxed as the upper-low moved far enough west of the disturbance. By morning, visible satellite imagery indicated that a low-level center had formed over the central Bahamas and by 11am, the system was classified Tropical Depression Three, while moving west-northwest towards Southeast Florida. By early evening on the 22nd, the depression reached Tropical Storm strength and was named Bonnie. In response to strong southeasterly winds on the east side of the upper-low, Bonnie moved more towards the northwest before bending back towards the west-northwest on the morning of the 23rd. These strong upper-level winds also prevented strengthening and Bonnie struggled to maintain deep convection near the center while remaining a weak tropical storm as it rapidly approached southeast Florida. Between 9am and 11am on July 23rd, the center of Tropical Storm Bonnie moved rapidly west-northwest at 18 mph (16 kts) across Biscayne Bay, making landfall near Cutler Bay, Florida (just south ...
