Rosie Burghart from Nelson was named Senior Young Florist Apprentice of the Year and Rotorua florist Jamie Trubshaw Junior Young Florist Apprentice of the Year. They were among 14 of New Zealand's best young florists who competed for the titles during the five days of the Ellerslie International Flower Show in Christchurch. Each of the florists made 18 floral designs during the event, demonstrating their skills in creativity and design to the thousands of visitors to the Show, who watched them in action in the City Care Floral Art Marquee. With the help of unique colour film and photographs, you can experience the signing of the historic agreement between Britain and France and the early development of supersonic test aircraft at BAC's Filton site in the early 1960s.
