The new Joe and Rika Mansueto Library at the University of Chicago houses cutting-edge facilities for preservation and digitization of physical books, as well as a high-density underground storage system with the capacity to hold 3.5 million volume equivalents. With its soaring elliptical dome and prime location on campus, the Mansueto Library's Grand Reading Room, which opens May 16, 2011, provides an inviting space for rigorous scholarship in an array of fields.

The University of Chicago Folk Festival is a three-day celebration of traditional music from the United States and around the world. We aim to keep the living tradition of folk music alive by inviting some of today's best traditional musicians to the U of C campus every February for three days of music, dance, and more. Lang discusses how 3D Echo is used to diagnose heart disease, prepare for heart surgery and to guide surgeons during some procedures. I visit Chicago GSB in the summer of 2007. It definitely has the nicest b-school facility that I've ever seen....by far the best. Yale had the worst facilities. I saw the business schools at Columbia, NYU, Yale, UPenn, Northwestern, UChicago, Stanford, and Berkeley. However, Berkeley had the most amazing campus that I've ever seen.....gorgeous; however, I think UChicago also has a really beautiful campus. love the gothic. I took a video of the Smart Museum on the sly...they almost kicked me out when they found out it was a video camera. I recorded this on my Canon Powershot TX1
