Match Day 2011 UC San Diego School of Medicine

For thousands of medical students across the country, including 127 students -- 66 women and 61 men -- from UC San Diego School of Medicine, the contents of an envelope reveals the hospital and city where they will pursue their next step to becoming a doctor. On Match Day, nationwide, medical students simultaneously learned the results of their applications to medical residency programs -- a process that starts for most at the beginning of the final year of medical school. Parents, spouses, significant others, siblings, friends and, in some cases, children gather round the students, to celebrate, cry, pop open champagne and toast bright futures.

Help Camp Kesem UCSD win $1000!!

PLEASE LIKE OUR VIDEO! :) Camp Kesem is a non-profit organization catered to kids who have parents suffering from cancer, have died from cancer, or are in remission. We provide a free week-long summer camp for these kids to have fun and just be kids with activities such as swimming, archery, arts and crafts, and sports. Along with all this fun is a support group where they are able to connect with other campers as well as counselors who have gone through similar experiences. To be able to send these kids to camp, UCSD students spend all year fundraising and planning for camp. Some things we do to raise money are bake sales, recycling, raffles and bigger events such as concerts and comedy shows. Our goal this year is to take about 95 kids to camp, which means we have to raise about $75000. We are not able to do this without help from donors and winning this contest would make such a big difference for us. With $1000 we could potentially take 5 kids to camp! Please help us out and like our video! THANK YOU!
