The Eleven Rack - Expansion Pack & Acoustic Guitar Demo

This is a short clip of an instrumental I wrote to show the Eleven Rack and it's capabilities in terms of recording an acoustic guitar in low latency mode now that the Eleven Rack has a Dyn3 Compressor and Parametric EQ to help shape the tone. Just mic'd acoustic into the Eleven Rack straight to ProTools with no plugins. The Expansion Pack is GREAT! Thanks for watching!

BMXAddiction Photoshoot with soundtrack by VaiSatchAtrucci

Ok I know this isn't the usual video I post, but it's for my other endeavor that a good friend of mine "Rooster" and I are working on where we are auctioning off a custom built BMX bike "Hope" built by us for the National Breast Cancer Foundation so spread the word and buy a shirt from us! or bid on the bike on Ebay! :) We have a site I built called www.bmxaddiction.com and it's a BMX Restoration based site with a forum, news, pictures of hot girls on BMX bikes photographed by myself, videos, etc... The shoot was filmed by another friend of ours "Norb" who asked me to record a soundtrack for the video that was sort of Steve Vai'ish - so thats the whole point of me posting this on my YouTube account here for everyone to listen to. It was done on my Mac of course using Logic Pro and Amplitube for the guitar tones. Amplitube, while not as great tone wise as using my RoadKing, it works really nicely for quick easy tracking and it doesn't piss off anyone living with you or your neighbors... :) I have had several people ask "Ok so you can play, but have you recorded any songs we can hear" and while this is hardly a "song" at least it'll give you a quick idea of my phrasing and all that. It was literally recorded in roughly an hour. 2 Rhythm guitar tracks dirty, 2 clean guitar tracks buried in the mix, keyboards (organ), drum loop, and a two take lead which is not the greatest lead I've ever layed down by any stretch, totally off the cuff, not worked out by any means and <b>...</b>

The Eleven Rack - Strat Clean And Dirty Tones Demo

This Eleven Rack demo showcases what a lot of people claim they can't do or use as a reason they got rid of their Eleven Rack which is "I can't get a good clean tone out of the Eleven Rack"... Uh... do what? So anyway - this video uses just ONE preset with the same amp settings with the only thing contributing to the gain is the Expansion Packs 'White-Boost' pedal. I LOVE the Eleven Rack and the EXPANSION PACK!!! Thanks for tuning in everyone hope you enjoy! As always the preset will be made available as "VSA FAT STRAT" on www.elevenrackpresets.com! The Eleven Rack and EV-SXA250 Road King Tone Comparison Demo

Ok so here's my demo of the Eleven Rack and "Mesa Road King" preset running through an EV-SXA250. I am posting this as requested by some people so they could hear how it sounds in comparison to my actual Road King tone which many said was colored by the power section of the Road King amp in my other video where I used the Road King to amplify my Eleven Rack... Lost yet? LOL :) Anyway as you'll hear, the EV-SXA250 while it has more bass dialed in, you can definitely hear the same overall tone between the old video and this one. Hope you enjoy and as always thanks for watching!

Toto - Steve Lukather "Rosanna" Solo Lesson

Here's pretty close to note for note I think of the solo from Toto's Rosanna. I play it up to speed and also VERY slow to help anyone who has ever wanted to learn this solo so I hope you enjoy! It was fun to learn and it's full of some great Lukather technique and phrasing but easy enough for the novice player to learn.

Morpheus DropTune Pedal Demo

This is a demo of the Motrpheus DropTune pedal which is a pedal that drops the pitch of your instrument by half step increment all the way down to one Octave. This pedal also has an "Octaver" or "Octavier" effect however you want to call it which sounds pretty nice. It works great and much better than the other reviews I had read about it saying the "latency" was terrible which I didn't experience. Anyway hope ya'll dig it and thanks again for watching my videos! Until next time!

2009 Ernie Ball Music Man - Limited Edition JP6 "Dargie Delight II"

I saw this guitar at 2009 NAMM show and HAD to have it - I LOVE the color and every JP6 lover needs more than ONE! So I ordered it and it came in a couple weeks ago and I put together this little short lame demo 'cause I never have time to do a GOOD one lately it seems, but I promise I will! I have only seen one other on YouTube, so I am wondering how many were sold. I believe there were less than 20 JP6's made from the first go around of the Dargie Delights in 2006 I believe? So I don't know how many were made this year but it couldn't have been many. Anyway, I was due for a new one since my other JP6 is from 2002 or 2003! It sure feels good and has the compensated nut which really does make a difference...

Egnater Rebel 20 and TC Nova System Demo

Here's another demo with the Egnater Rebel 20 head and the TC Electronics Nova System which in essence is a little brother version of the G-System. Great stuff - although this video sounds a bit distorted, you can GENERALLY get a feel for the analog drive circuit which while nowhere near as good as the actual gain on the Egnater, it does what it's supposed to do and its actually VERY usable which blew my mind... Anyway, hope you enjoy and when i have more time, I'll probably do another one where the audio doesn't suck so much... :) thanks again ya'll for watching and enjoy.

Egnater - Rebel 30 Demo 2 of 2 - Channels 1 & 2

Here's a demo of the Egnater Rebel-30. the jury is still out whether I like the 20 watt or 30 watt better, but they sound almost identical other than i think the 1x12 of the Rebel-20 obviously sounded "bigger" since there was nothing in the enclosure but a speaker as opposed to the 30 watt which is full of "guts"... Still sounds amazing and there's way more pluses to the 30 watt to override the 20 watt still. Enjoy!

Suhr Riot Distortion Pedal Demo

Here's a demo of the Suhr Riot Distortion Pedal. I LOVE this guy... It sounds amazing (obviously through camera mic's it's not going to send anyone into convulsions, but you'll get an idea of the tone somewhat. It's really responsive to the amp you are playing and totally takes on the characteristics of the amp you are using. It has different character running through a Swart -vs- Egnater -vs- Mesa but in every instance, it just KILLS... I've even played it through my Eleven Rack and it kicks ass there as well... Suhr really got this one right... I'd say it's more than worthy to replace my OCD, although i still love the OCD too... I will likely to a "shootout" demo between the two and maybe throw in the BB Preamp to just for fun. Stay tuned and thanks for watching! Enjoy!

As promised, heres a short, sloppy, yet decent demo of the Road King II clean channel. I didn't promise sloppy, but thats what you get from me just about every time... ;) Also, I had a lot of people wanting to actually SEE me play guitar for whatever reason so hope you find it informative and enjoy! I LOVE the clean channel of the Road King II which is FAR superior to the original Road King. Mesa basically took the Lonestar clean channel and put it in the Road King II and it sounds GREAT! I couldn't have been more surprised and happier then when I plugged in the first time and realized I now truly have the best of 4 worlds! The Eleven Rack Expansion Pack Bass Demo (Ampeg SVT)

Here's a demo of the new Ampeg SVT based amp sim included in the just released (March 22, 2011) Eleven Rack Expansion Pack! As I mention in the video, my bass is not the best nor am I an exceptional bass player BUT this new amp sim is INCREDIBLE and I can only imagine how great it would sound in more capable hands! Basically just a simple drum track and bass, then part of an instrumental I am working on and then a little Steve Harris action! or my lame attempt at it anyway but it shows the capabilities of the Eleven Rack and how well you can record bass with it now! I for one am PUMPED about the addition of this amp for recording purposes. Anyway I'm out for now - more videos to come! I'll be posting the presets at www.elevenrackpresets.com for whoever is interested! Hope you enjoy! Thanks for watching and for your continued support! Y'all RAWK! -VSA

Here is a SHORT SLOPPY clip of my new Schecter Elite 007 - 7 String and for the money it is HANDS DOWN the best 7-string I have ever played. It outperforms and stock wise sounds better than any of the Ibanez 7-Strings out there. It comes REALLY close to the EBMM Petrucci 7-String as well, but the neck is much better on the EBMM Petrucci model for sure. I just don't have an extra $2000 to spend on one... who the hell does right??? Anyway - hope you dig it and I'll post a lot more soon! Heres a demo of the Lead Channel I use with the tube config set to 2-EL34's & 46zl6's and recto tracking on. Also I "sort of" demo the BB Preamp (Andy Timmons one is obviously much better)on the lead and clean channels of the Road King II amp. At some point I am going to do a video of settings that I dont necessarily prefer myself, but will help showcase the versatility of the amp to people who dont want that "recto" sound at all, don't like my sound at all and just looking for something more like a marshall or fender or just something non-dream theater or Satriani inspired - or at least my interpretation of such... Eleven Rack -vs- Mesa Road King II Demo

Here's a demo I did to illustrate how well the Eleven Rack models the Mesa Boogie Road King II head - and in this case what my Channel 3 sounds like. It was really eye opening and while I knew the Eleven Rack came very close, until I was able to play them side by side I had no idea that they are IDENTICAL! Sorry I didn't mic it up but while the audio is not great, it still shows that the tone is identical from the gain on the head -vs- the gain on the Eleven Rack. Incredible... You should hear how it sounds in the room... WOW... The Eleven Rack actually has a little better clarity at the settings its on. Also I should mention as some of you know I don't play with a ton of gain and the gain is set to about 6 or between 12 and 1 o'clock respectively. The wild thing too is the EQ settings are identical as well from the Road King and on the Eleven Rack and I never once looked at my head while setting up the patch on the Eleven Rack and in fact my Road King has not even been turned on since I bought the Eleven Rack in Jan of this year... Amazing... Hope you enjoy!

The Eleven Rack - Suhr Riot, Fulltone OCD, and BB Preamp Shootout Part 1 of 2

This is a short demo (part 1 of 2) of the BB Preamp, Fulltone OCD, and Suhr Riot distortion pedals and how they compare to one another. I ran each of these pedals into the front of the Eleven Rack (True-Z Input) and cycled through 3 different types of amp models just to illustrate how the pedals don't really define the amp's sound, but really just enhances the existing tone of whatever amp you are playing into. All three of these pedals are outstanding in their own right yet the Suhr Riot for me is a clear winner and it's not just from a sonic standpoint, because the OCD comes real close, but there's a compression or dynamic feel about it that I really love and it's just a smoother gain than the OCD - again, not taking anything away from the OCD! All the amps used the 4x12 classic 30 cab and Ribbon 121 mic (Royer sim) and a little reverb although for some reason the verb was most prominent on the tweed bass amp patch which was not intentional but it is what it is! The BB Preamp is a very flexible pedal too and probably offers the best low gain settings of the three. Anyway - hope you enjoy it and we'll see you next time around!

Here's my feeble attempt to play Joe Satriani's - Cryin from the Extremist LP. Hope you dig it. There are better versions out there, but I am really enjoying playing this strat! Hard to believe I got it off of Craigslist for $150... Plays great - has great sounding pickups - what else can I say - it was a steal for sure. Just goes to show, you don't need a $2000+ guitar so sound halfway decent! I again just played to a backing track using Amplitube on my iMac and what else can I say about Amplitube other than it kicks ass... You can't use ANY of the presets as with most programs and gear they are all HORRIBLE but typically good building blocks to start with... i don't know if they do that on purpose to keep from getting sued or what? It's pretty funny though it's as if they don't have a guitar player come up with those, but some nerd in a lab coat. Mesa Boogie Road King II with TC G-System & Port City 2x12

I decided to post a video of my new Road King II because of the lack of them on You Tube! C'Mon guys - Post some stuff! there's hardly anything out there either in terms of settings for the Road King II and I speak from experience when I say it took me about 2 weeks to finally get it tweaked to my liking. It's so versatile it's ridiculous and coming from a TriAxis rig, that says a lot. It has all the balls that the TriAxis rig lacks but with all the tone I loved about the TriAxis. I plan on using the TriAxis to give me a nice warm overdriven clean channel as well as utilizing the switching capabilities of it to change the channels of the Road King via midi so I don't have to tap dance between 2 pedals... The TC only has 2 relay switches for channel switching of heads, but they use stereo Y-cables and the Road King won't work with those, but you can use mono-cables but it only gives you 2 channels to control... yadda yadda yadda... There are a few midi controlled relay switches on the internet which I'd like to have but I am sort of broke at the moment thanks to the Road King... anyway - I know its pretty dark, but you get the point - I also want to mention the volume is only at 1.5 or 2 at the most - this amp is a MONSTER!!! I also love my new Port City 2x12 cabinet - it sounds bigger and better than my 4x12 Marshall cab which has served me well over the years, but it's going uh bye-bye I think... The TC G-System is amazing as well and I LOVE it as well... I plan on <b>...</b>

Mesa-Boogie Road King II Demo Part 1 of 2

Here is another demo - Part 1 of 2 that I promised to showcase the amp completely DRY with no effects. The first of two parts demos the 3 modes on each of the 2 high gain channels of the Road King II amp. Again, its sloppy and is is what it is - unrehearsed and unadulterated! Enjoy! :)
