This next Spring 2011 collection will be my second collection since launching my line in 2009. Aside from making beautiful sustainable clothing for men and women, I also want to rescue old artisanal and eco-conscious Puerto Rican crafts from extinction. I will employ and collaborate with local Puerto Rican artists to reinterpret and modernize some of the island's cultural troves. I also want to showcase some of the sustainable and ethical fashion design initiatives already happening in the island, such as Concalma--a line of sustainably and ethically manufactured bags and purses. The collection will also include exclusive custom fabric prints from local NYC textile designers. The fabrics will be block printed at my Brooklyn studio, using vegetable natural non-toxic inks. These new design collaborations will be featured in the show, alongside my pieces.

Well, that was perhaps the shortest hiatus ever XD But, alas, I am well now, so I decided to take a leap of faith and try out something I swore I could never do: a duet. HARDEST. DUET. EVER. (though I See the Light is a very close second in my opinion) Before I say anything else, I would like to thank fellow fandubber and cover...er vaanfluff for providing such an amazing male part. If you're reading this, you rock, dude. Hard :3 I was set to do "I See The Light", but after hearing this, I just couldn't resist XDbelieved my voice would be more fitting for this. Now then, what have I learned from this little venture? One, blending with male voices IS A BITCH (at least for me TT) I had to listen real hard as I was singing to make sure our voices complimented each other. For the most part, I think I was sucessful, but a couple parts are still a little iffy. Also, we pronounce certain words differently, so I had to watch out for that (my country accent and tendencies didn't help). Two, I may be becoming a perfectionist. Alot of my time was spend adjusting volume levels and cropping off the most menial parts. Three, I have the sorriest excuse for a belt ever. Seriously. TwT But, in all, I had alot of fun covering this song with vaanfluff and I would do it again! :3 Oh, and I didn't use the video for this for two reasons: one, my voice doesn't fit the character at all; two, the animators of this movie did such a crappy job on this scene, didn't do justice to the music at all <b>...</b>
