The latest major content patch for World of Warcraft, The Gods of Zul'Aman, adds an impressive array of new challenges, features, changes, and rewards to World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. Zul'Aman is a 10-person raid dungeon located in the Ghostlands, with enemies and spoils that pick up where Karazhan leaves off. This outdoor raid dungeon is home to the vicious Amani forest trolls and their leader, the infamous Zul'jin. You and your band of heroes will battle the dungeon's six bosses, including four avatars of Zul'Aman, each bearing the aspect of a different ferocious creature. READ: before you think you're oh-so observive This is the last kill in the ZA series. This kill brought me to 5/6 of ZA solo'd, Malacrass isn't doable. Zul'jin is fairly easy. The fight consists of 5 phases, a switch at roughly every 20%. Phase 1: Just his normal form, nothing special. Phase 2: He transforms in a bear. He applies some spell on you which will paralyze you if you don't dispell it. So guess what? Dispell it. Further, easy phase. Phase 3: Eagle phase. He summons a vortex which follows you the ENTIRE time. Which is annoying, but nothing more than a major nuissance and therefore it's not deadly. Near the end of the phase I got a pretty solid way to evade them: let it push you in a corner, then you can run past it. For the sceptics under you: yes when I bubbled the vortex DID go to another person in the raid who was being afk at Malacrass room. This person hasn't helped me in any way possible. And yes, I did have to worry about the vortex for a few seconds less. But as you can clearly see the phase is easy. Go on, bring out the hate! Phase 4: Lynx phase. It was over before I realized it started. Easy. Phase 5: Dragonhawk phase. This HURTS. Alot. He does a stacking debuff which increases your fire damage taken. I was planning to bubble if of when I got low but it didn't work. Therefore I died right when he died (epic huh). If I had known I'd have used Lay on Hands instead which would've guaranteed a MUCH smoother kill and I wouldn't have died either. Ah well, it <b>...</b>

A video of a timed run of the new Zul'Aman 5-man instance, with my own voice commentary. The point of this video isn't to show off some kind of incredible clear time; it's simply an ordinary run I caught on video that went smoothly. I point out various things along the way that should help you clear the zone quickly. If you've never done Zul'Aman at all and aren't trying for the timed clear, this might not be for you--I didn't have time to spell out every mechanic in detail. I focus more on the best path through the zone for a fast clear. The video is sped up to about 170% to fit in 15 minutes. Our actual clear time for the timed portion is just over 20 minutes (the maximum allowed is 25), of which roughly 6 minutes is spent in combat with bosses. This is a timed Zul'Aman run with Hardline for the Amani Battle Bear reintroduced in Patch 4.1. I originally thought I was recording the run with sound but guess I didn't =( so the few times you actually hear sound is when I press push-to-talk so hopefully you don't mind hearing me randomly babble throughout this run. Our setup was: Protection paladin, mage, rogue, warrior, me (Holy priest). If we pull off most of the run flawlessly, we usually expect to head to Halazzi at 8-9 minutes left on the clock with the boss itself taking around 2-3 minutes. I apologize ahead of time for the lag spike that happens during the dragonhawk boss, it saddens me to realize that my desktop actually isn't all that great and when there's a high amount of spell detail my screen blows up for a second or two.
